Green Dot Washington by the Numbers
Green Dot's first school in Washington, Destiny Middle School, launched in Tacoma in August 2015, starting with our first sixth grade class, and will roll up to a full 6-8th grade middle school over the next three years.
The work of Green Dot Public Schools is driven by our unwavering belief in the potential of ALL students, eliminating barriers to learning and continuously striving for student success. We believe all stakeholders are critical to the education process including families, community, staff and decision makers.
Our results from the first year:
Destiny students grew approximately 3 grade levels in reading this year, and some students with special needs grew as much as 4-5 grade reading levels.
